Agency (formerly Party with a Purpose) is an event for 1,000 people in their 20s and 30s committed to supporting global health activities. Agency educates and raises money for a single cause through a semi-formal cocktail party. We changed our name in early 2012 because this is more than a party. Agency is building a community that takes action on behalf of our generation.

Doubling in size from 2010 to 2011, the Party sold out in-advance both years and increased funds-raised more than twofold, from $13,000 for PATH in 2010 to $34,000 for the Infectious Disease Research Institute in 2011. Highlighted as an example of engaging young people in causes at the 2011 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Agency is poised to rally even more young leaders around global health. Together, we are cementing Seattle as the city known for its generosity, and Washington’s future as the world’s nexus for global health.
Our initiative is founded in the belief that focusing the power of young adults on the betterment of a single cause, even just for one night, can lead to world-changing progress. Our aim is to raise awareness and social consciousness of global health issues among 20 and 30-somethings in Seattle. Each event thrown by Agency is focused on education and involvement in global health initiatives as well as education and fundraising for a single global health cause. By creating this forum for young adults to learn, give, and participate while having fun, we are building a better world for future generations, one party at a time.
Party beneficiaries receive proceeds from the evening.
