We facilitate collaboration to create activities and partnerships that wouldn't otherwise exist. We seek creative public-private partnership opportunities and promote global health understanding through outreach and awareness.
Our core objectives are to facilitate opportunities for member institutions to partner for research and program collaborations, to engage, educate and inspire the general public and key stakeholders about global health and to increase education and mentoring activities.
To learn more about the economic impact of global health on Washington state's economy read the Executive Summary of the 2005 study conducted by the University of Washington. The study states that $4.1 billion are generated by global health activity in Washington state. Over 3,000 direct global health jobs exist with 30,000 positions supporting the global health sector growth.
