WGHA is hiring an Administrative Assistant
The Washington Global Health Alliance is growing. We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant who will be a key member of the WGHA team and will provide a range of administrative support to the Director and Program Assistant, in support of the overall goals of the team. Primary responsibilities include the following:
- Coordinate meeting schedules with WGHA stakeholders, WGHA Program Assistant and Executive Director.
- Manage WGHA's Executive Director's calendar .
- Manage travel arrangements.
- Coordinate and prepare agendas for WGHA Executive Committee, subcommittee and special committee meetings.
- Post articles and events on WGHA website.
- Coordinate membership communication including new member welcome letter, packet, plaque and creation and maintenance of membership database.
- Complete expense reports, check requests, and all other expense paperwork for WGHA, including scanning paperwork into digital files.
- Assemble WGHA information packets on an ongoing basis, ensuring there are always packets ready.
- Update and categorize contacts.
- Create and maintain organized files and records. Maintain an organized system of tracking, monitoring and prioritizing tasks and projects.
- Draft correspondence to partners, and collaborators including letters and general email correspondence.
- Order office supplies, business cards.
- Staff relevant WGHA events including Global Health Dialogues, WGHA Discovery Series Lectures, and community events.

Ensure that WGHA complies with PATH policies and procedures.
Required Skills

- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently and under pressure.
- Demonstrated success working in a collaborative, highly matrixed environment.
- Ability to solve problems independently or take appropriate initiative to find solutions, using available resources or suggesting new ones.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new approaches as needed, and to complete tasks in creative and effective ways.
- Effective track record conducting web research.
- Knowledge of budgets and sound principles of expense control; ability to produce analyses and reports in tandem with director and program administrators.
- Competent using MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with website updating.
- Provide administrative support to Program Assistant as needed.
Required Experience
Associate's degree plus a minimum two years administrative experience.
