The Washington Global Health Alliance will be featured in the first session of a four part series sponsored by the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association which will highlight Washington State’s expanding role in the global health community. This session, taking place on November 18th at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, will present the breadth and depth of Washington’s global health sector and will indicate the impact of WGHA Executive Members in global health education, training, and research.

Panelists Lisa Cohen, Director of the Washington Global Health Alliance, Randy Hassler, VP Operations and Finance at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, and John Gardner, VP of Economic Development & Global Engagement at Washington State University will discuss innovative WGHA projects and their influence on Washington State’s life science community. This session marks the first public forum for the Washington Global Health Alliance’s “Global Health Mapping Study”, a project which showcases the global involvement of WGHA Executive Members as well as the distribution of global health work across the state.

Chris Rivera, President of the WBBA will moderate discussion between panelists and will field audience questions surrounding global health and Washington State. Join us in examining innovative opportunities for collaboration in life sciences and health within our region.
