Emerging Issues in K-12 STEM Education
Location: Town Hall Seattle
The Institute for Systems Biology and the Technology Alliance co-present a Town Hall event focused on the state of K-12 STEM education in Washington. Join us for a thought-provoking panel discussion on what is making a difference for students and teachers of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), and how members of the business and research communities can be effective advocates and partners in improving STEM education in our schools.
Excellence in K-12 STEM education is critical to our future: to inspiring the next generation of scientists and engineers; to producing the technologically proficient workforce that will build new products, services and industries; and to providing our children with the knowledge that enables them to be informed, engaged citizens and active participants in an economy increasingly driven by innovation.
