Passport to Global Health Celebration
Location: The Westin Hotel, Seattle, WA
Each spring, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute hosts a large-scale community event aimed at increasing public awareness of and support for global health, while raising funds for innovate infectious disease research. Throughout the event's five year history, more than 3,000 people have joined SBRI to raise awareness of the need to improve health for underserved populations.
The Passport Celebration will feature a keynote address by doctor, researcher and "Zen Master of Statistics" Hans Rosling. Rosling will dramatically change the way you look at social and economic development and give you a new, better understanding of the so-called developing world. By exploring world trends with his Gapminder data bubble software, Rosling will demystify global health.
