WIB-Seattle Metro: A Discussion on Entrepreneurship with Stewart Parker, CEO, IDRI

H. Stewart Parker, IDRI CEO and long-time biotech executive and WGHA partner, will lead a discussion on key lessons and strategies for successful entrepreneurship. Ms. Parker founded Targeted Genetics Corporation, Immunex’s second spin-off, in 1992 and held the position of President and CEO from the company's inception until November of 2008. Prior to founding Targeted Genetics, she held various positions at Immunex, ending her tenure there as Vice President, Corporate Development and as President, CEO, and Board Member of Receptech Corporation, Immunex’s first spin-off. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors for several for-profit and non-profit companies including C3 Jian Inc., Oncogenex Technologies Inc., Copper Canyon Press, and the University of Washington College of Arts & Sciences. She received her BA in Slavic Language and Literature from the University of Washington and earned an MBA in Finance and International Business also from the University of Washington. WIB-Seattle Metro is partnering with Seattle’s Association for Women In Science (AWIS) for this event.
