This intensive day-long seminar will provide businesses with a foundation for creating a global business plan. Focus will be on companies just thinking about or preparing to go global, as well as for those wanting insights on how to enhance a current export plan.

Keynote Speaker:

Turner Center for Entrepreneurship Operations, International Programs
Mr. Foley, author of the book, "The Global Entrepreneur" is a frequent speaker on issues of international trade and teaches International Business courses at Bradley University. He is a past president of NASBITE International and has served as the Director for the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional credential. He is past chair of the International Association of Trade Training Organizations. Currently he serves as national co-chair of the Association of Small Business Development Centers International Interest Section. AM Session: Enhancing Your Understanding of Exporting
This session will provide an overview of the opportunities and challenges for companies in the medical technology community as they plan and grow their exports. Techniques and issues related to foreign market selection, partner selection, logistics, and trade finance will be discussed.
PM Session: International Marketing Research
This working session will focus on identifying the goals of foreign market research and on how to use specific databases and resource to accomplish those goals.
Session includes "hands on" practice using free web-based market research tools. Attendees should bring their own laptop, or be prepared to share.
Participants will receive a signed copy of Global Entrepreneur, Mr. Foley’s book which discusses techniques to expand international trade for small to midsize companies.
Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.
