In the fight against tuberculosis, you could be the hero. This year, over 200 people will be diagnosed with tuberculosis disease in Washington State, and each case will cost over $10,000 to treat. Join us on World TB Day for an interactive forum about TB and our urgent need to call attention to delivering new solutions to this age-old disease. Topics include:

  • Surviving TB: stories from people affected by tuberculosis
  • Pediatric TB and its effects on our young
  • TB co-infection with HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases
  • New challenges and approaches to increasingly drug resistant TB
  • Advocacy and funding for TB research and patient care

This free event is co-sponsored by the Washington State Tuberculosis Advisory Council, the Firland Foundation, Seattle Biomedical Research Institute, and the Washington Global Health Alliance.
