Project Coordinator / Communications Specialist

IDRI is currently looking for an experienced and motivated project coordinator with experience in communications to support our scientific teams in the development of drugs and vaccines for infectious diseases.
The primary responsibilities of the Project Coordinator will be to support the planning and scheduling of project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, represent IDRI and project team at external partner project meetings, coordinate the development of progress reports, proposals and presentations, and provide support to general IDRI communications activities.
Applicants to this position should have demonstrated experience in project coordination, strong communications skills including writing communications materials and presentations and speaking at meetings, and ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Experience in the biotechnology industry is desired.

Business Analyst, Global Health Program
The Business Analyst works independently and in collaboration with members of the Discovery team to support the development and implementation of program goals and to assist in the management of the grants and contracts portfolio. The Business Analyst will provide financial analytical support in addition to coordinating and managing a range of financially-oriented projects in support of grants, contracts and portfolio management. Work efforts will include supporting the preparation and analysis of business plans, financial statements, models, and tools to support team goals, and working closely with and advising staff on a wide range of financial and operational issues.
Specific responsibilities of the Business Analyst include assisting program officers in the evaluation and analysis of financial submissions related to grant making activity, preparing financial models to support specific team projects, working with Discovery Program Coordinators to manage proposal pipeline, supporting the Discovery team Director and Business Officer, and the Financial Planning and Analysis department, to develop and execute annual budgets and financial plans, and working in collaboration with Discovery Program Coordinators to manage the team s ongoing grantmaking and grant monitoring activities.
Applicants to the Business Analyst position should have a degree in Finance, Business or a related field, as well as a minimum of 7 years of experience in financial and strategic planning functions. Applicants should also have previous experience in finance or grants management in the non-profit sector preferred.
