The WGHA provides training and education grants for students, trainees (for example, residents), and faculty who support student involvement in health education, service, and research programs in developing countries. Proposed programs are evaluated for their potential to provide direct support of interdisciplinary student and trainee experiences in developing countries and reciprocal experiences for foreign students
Our training and education grants include faculty support for student programs—both in Washington State and in host countries. We also offer interdisciplinary seminars and courses that bring together students and faculty sharing common interests in global health.
We expect to begin our next award cycle in late 2008.
