WGHA is delighted to welcome Barbara Bush, co-founder and CEO of the Global Health Corps and former first daughter, to Seattle for a special event August 15th to kick-off “Field Notes Live,” our speakers series produced in partnership with Panorama. Don’t miss this conversation with one of the leading voices in next gen global health leadership. Limited tickets are available (see “Event Information” below for details). Special thanks to PATH for hosting the event in its Seattle headquarters.
Barbara Bush, Global Health Corps
Barbara Bush dramatically changed how young leaders get involved in global health when she co-founded Global Health Corps (GHC) in 2009. Bush joins us in Seattle’s South Lake Union for a conversation, where she opens up about GHC’s start, the trends shaping health equity and lessons she’s learned in the process of pursuing a meaningful career.
As Global Health Corps CEO, Bush and her global team have placed nearly 850 fellows on the front lines of health equity in Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Rwanda, Zambia, and the United States. Global Health Corps fellows and alumni can be found in many Washington State global health organizations.
