Anson Fatland currently serves as the vice chair for the Washington Global Health Alliance.
Anson Fatland is the Chief of Staff to Tricia and Jeff Raikes at North Forty, LLC, where he oversees a multitude of private and philanthropic programs and initiatives. He also acts as personal counsel to Tricia and Jeff and works across a diverse array of programs and partners in the northwest and beyond.
Anson brings expertise spanning biotechnology, philanthropy, business, and higher education, as well as nearly 20 years of service in the private and public sectors to North Forty, LLC. Prior to this role, Anson worked in San Francisco for nearly 10 years before joining The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation in 2008 where he integrated his love of science with a desire for a social return. In 2011, Anson was invited by then President Elson S. Floyd to take on the role of Associate Vice President for Economic Development at Washington State University. Reporting to President Floyd, Anson led WSU’s economic development activities, including technology commercialization programs, corporate relations, foundation relation activities, and the Small Business Development Centers.
Anson holds a PhD in chemistry from Washington State University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. When not working you can find Anson enjoying the outdoors, cheering for his two kids from the sidelines, or reading a good book.
