Melissa Martin is General Manager, Strategy & Operations for Microsoft Services. Services is a global team of more than 21,000 professionals who are dedicated to helping businesses and individual consumers maximize the value of their investment in Microsoft technologies. In this capacity, Melissa leads business strategy, planning & communications, as well as the Enterprise Services business operations teams which includes Operations & Tools, Role Operations and Incentives, Services University, and the DAX4ES program, a major, multi-year initiative to provide a common operational model for all Services.
Prior to this, Melissa was General Manager, Strategy & Operations for Microsoft Customer Services & Support, where she led the global strategy, business operations, and communications teams. During her tenure there, she was also responsible for implementing the enterprise class mission critical support response program for Premier Support customers.
Prior to joining Microsoft in December 2002, Melissa was a consulting partner with Ernst & Young, LLP (E&Y), and later a Vice President at Cap Gemini, which acquired the consulting practice of E&Y. During her tenure at these companies, Melissa provided strategic counsel, operational consulting and IT deployments for Telecom and Utility customers. Melissa also worked at BP America as a petroleum engineer.
Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University. In addition, she holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
