Tiffany Cain is the director of communications at the Washington Global Health Alliance. She leads strategy for WGHA’s digital communications including web, email, social media and Field Notes. She manages WGHA’s media relations; leads the annual Pioneers of Global Health Awards Dinner; and spearheads a quarterly roundtable for communications staff in WGHA’s member organizations.
Tiffany previously worked for nine years with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at the Atlanta headquarters and most recently in the Washington, D.C. office. At CDC Washington, she led Congressional communications on Zika, health statistics, and worker safety; oversaw the team that developed CDC Washington’s digital communications for Hill staff; and organized Member briefings and visits to CDC campuses.
WGHA connects and informs Washington’s global health community, creating a culture of collaboration at home so our members can have more impact in the world. The first organization of its kind, WGHA was founded in 2007 and today has more than 80 members working to achieve health equity.
