Tina Vlasaty is the vice president & chief operating officer of the Washington Global Health Alliance (WGHA). In her role, Tina provides oversight, manages WGHA’s finances and operations and with the WGHA team, works to develop and execute WGHA’s strategic vision to strengthen the global health community. She is responsible for the cultivation and stewardship of WGHA’s 80 members including the development and execution of programming to increase their impact. Tina also contributes to WGHA’s advocacy efforts to educate policy makers and serve as a champion for the global health sector.
Prior to joining WGHA, Tina spent 20 years working in community and economic development, working both for community based organizations and local government. Her experience includes organizational development, finance and analytics, program and policy development, and collaboration and outreach.
Most recently, Tina was Deputy Director for the City of Seattle’s Office of Economic Development. Her roles at the City of Seattle included Finance and Operations Manager and Business Development Manager. She also was a Senior Business Lender at Craft3. She received her MBA from Washington University and her undergraduate training is in Russian and Eastern European Studies. She is a graduate of Leadership Tomorrow (2011) and the City Leadership Institute (2009).
WGHA connects and informs Washington’s global health community, creating a culture of collaboration at home so our members can have more impact in the world. The first organization of its kind, WGHA was founded in 2007 and today has more than 80 members working to achieve health equity.
