Program Manager - Operations

About the Role

Role Summary:

The Program Manager - Operations will report to the Senior Director of Programs Strategy & Data Solutions and serve in our Programs department in support of our organizational mission to accelerate health equity. The Program Manager will work with colleagues and collectively be responsible for managing the development of systems that are essential to delivering medication, technology, and services to patients facing cancer and other critical illnesses. While managing system development, they will contribute to program planning and provide collaborative support for operational processes and program implementation.

Responsibilities:

Develop & lead implementation of program policies and procedures; provides support and continuing training to team-members on evolving program SOPs
Identify opportunities for process improvement, and make recommendations for building and implementing solutions
Collect feedback from regional colleagues; support the navigation understanding the nuance of regional challenges and co-developing solutions
Execute admin level processes within the Patient Access Tracking System (PATS) functions – e.g., opening countries for new drugs, approving new physicians, sending Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), document business user requirements (BURs), drug label signatures, review requests, etc.
Facilitate trainings for programs team-members, including identifying relevant topics, scheduling, tracking participation, and collecting feedback
Maintain & archive technical documentation (ex. system patches & bug reporting) updates; Serve as a beta tester for software updates from various user views & provide feedback to Data Solutions team
Sensitively handle confidential patient information
Maintain data integrity in internal communications and reporting
Perform program monitoring and evaluation, and report program outputs and outcomes to external stakeholders
Build and maintain relationships with relevant partners and organizations
Provide strategic and operational support on one or more of The Max Foundation’s global health systems strengthening and/or social determinants of health programs, including the development and tracking of project work plan, timelines, milestones, and reporting
Support onboarding of new team members, responding to the dynamic needs of a global team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in a related field preferred
5-7+ years of professional work experience in global health programs
Robust experience in project & program management, and data systems development
Proven ability to navigate complex program structures and evolving reporting needs
Cultural awareness and familiarity serving international populations
Strong analysis and technical writing skills
Self-starter who takes ownership over tasks and has meticulous attention to detail
Critical thinker and problem solver with excellent judgment and decision-making skills
Competence with software applications (Microsoft Suite, database management, project management)
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Verbal and written fluency in French, Spanish or another language a plus
