European Supply – Chain Solutions for Medical Products

October 24 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

U.S. medical device companies are highly regarded globally for their innovations and high-technology products. Investment in medical device research and development more than doubled in recent decades, and research and development investment in the domestic sector remains more than twice the average for all U.S. manufacturers. The global medical devices market offers tremendous opportunity for U.S. manufacturers, as well as significant challenges, for government policymakers seeking to support U.S. export competitiveness in overseas markets.

The United States’ partnership with the Netherlands is its oldest continuous relationship and dates back to the American Revolution. The Netherlands is a geographically small, densely populated country occupying a highly strategic commercial location, with Europe’s largest port, making it the “Gateway to Europe”. Over 170 million consumers (roughly one third of the population of the expanded European Union of 28 Member States) reside within a 300-mile radius of Rotterdam.
