Arrival Day; a private driver will meet each passenger at the airport to transfer to the hotel. Stay in Phnom Penh.
After breakfast at the hotel, the group will depart for a panoramic tour of Phnom Penh, including the Royal Palace, Wat Ounalom, Tuol Sleng Museum, and the Central Market. There we’ll have the opportunity to meet a partner physician and speak with patients benefiting from our programs. In the afternoon, we’ll drive several hours to Kampong Thom. We’ll have dinner after arriving at the hotel, and stay in Kampong Thom.
We’ll start this day with a special breakfast joined by local patients from Kampong Thom. Then we’ll depart the hotel to visit the complex of Prasat Sambour, where we will see several temples of the pre-Angkorine period. After lunch, on the way to Siem Reap, we’ll visit Tonle Sap Lake and the floating village of Kampong Kleang. Dinner at hotel and stay in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, we’ll tour Siem Reap, including several of the famous Angkor temples, guided by a local patient of The Max Foundation. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a cultural Apsara Dance show with our dinner. Stay in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, we depart for the sacred mountain of Phnom Kulen, where we’ll be joined by local patients for a short hike to a famous reclining Buddha statue and small temple next to a waterfall.
