Women in Health & PPE: Does one size fit all?
November 23 @ 5:00 am - 6:00 am
The International Finance Corporation, in collaboration with Women in Global Health (WGH), invites you to our latest webinar on “Women in Health and PPE: Does one size fit all?”, the ninth event in our learning series under the IFC Women’s Leadership in Private Healthcare Working Group.
More than 70% of health workers worldwide are women, but research shows that manufacturing specifications for medical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are largely based on male body standards. This not only affects women’s ability to provide medical care, but also exposes them to infection and other risks.
Join us for a multi-stakeholder panel discussion on the need to design and manufacture gender-inclusive PPE, and the role of various industry members in responding to this need. In this event, participants will also learn about WGH’s new research report, “Fit for women? Improving Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for women health and care workers”, and IFC’s response to the COVID19 pandemic, including highlights from the Women’s Leadership in Private Healthcare Working Group.
