Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications

Position Overview:

The Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications will lead marketing strategy and implementation for Global Impact’s flagship programs that inspire greater giving among key audiences. This role requires a strong communicator and strategic fundraiser that is able to work in a fast-paced environment, has a deep understanding of digital marketing, and a heart to make a difference in the world. Their primary areas of responsibility will be developing and executing workplace marketing for Global Impact’s Charity Alliance, including charities such as CARE and Heifer International, and increasing organizational digital presence to market, position and raise the visibility of Global Impact. The individual in this role will bring a full spectrum of organizational communication capabilities, as well as web, social media, and online fundraising to Global Impact and will also provide marketing functions for the national marketing Outreach Coordinator role in support of the Combined Federal Campaign.  

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage strategic marketing and communications support for the Campaign Engagement team for success in workplace giving campaigns. 
  • Develop the marketing strategy for Campaign Engagement with a focus on reaching workplace donors, including development and promotion of a suite of digital and print materials to represent Global Impact in workplace giving campaigns. 
  • Manage advertising and email campaigns to support cause funds, disaster funds and workplace giving across public and private sectors, including responsibility for overall revenue and execution of strategic advertising and email program offered to Global Impact’s Charity Alliance members.  
  • Coordinate closely with the Managing Director to ensure Campaign Engagement needs are being met and Charity Alliance members receive excellent customer support.  
  • Manage and implement Global Impact’s digital marketing plan. 
  • Oversee Global Impact’s social media and website strategy to grow the organization’s online community. 
  • Manage visibility campaigns for Global Impact’sadvisory and infrastructure services.  
  • Research and identify relevant new technologies, social networks, tools, and digital marketing and fundraising strategies to ensure implementation of best practices.  
  • Develop and manage digital performance reports, making recommendations to alter strategy as needed. 
  • Provide strategic marketing and communications support for the national marketing Outreach Coordinator role by leading and supporting tasks under the contract, managing external vendors, and ensuring local zones are equipped with the tools needed to effectively market the CFC. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, digital media, journalism, marketing, or related field. 
  • 5-7years of experience in organizational and digital marketing and communications; preferably with experience working in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies to increase visibility, engagement, and donations with knowledge of digital technologies and best practices. 
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines  
  • Exceptional writer and editor (AP style) who can adapt his or her writing style to a range of projects with great attention to detail. 
  • Advanced skills in Facebook and LinkedIn advertising, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and Microsoft Office.  
  • Knowledge of content management systems (Drupal, WordPress), basic HTML, SEO, data tracking and analysis and graphic design applications (Adobe Creative Suite). 
  • Must be creative and innovative; a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment; able to manage multiple projects and tasks on deadline with a focus on results. 
  • Passion for and understanding of global development and philanthropy is a plus.

The salary range is $80,000 – $87,000, depending on the role filled and the experience you bring.

Global Impact has a hybrid office model and employees are expected in the office at least one day a week and sometimes for other meetings or events. This position has the potential to be fully remote, depending on your location.
