2022 Winners
WGHA’s Global Health Impact Awards welcomes nominees who represent a diversity of race, culture, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, discipline, and lived experience.

Organizational Impact: Awarded to an organization making an exceptional impact in improving global health equity. We encourage the nominations of organizations of all sizes, as this award takes into account impact relative to size and scope of the organization’s financial and staff resources. Judges looked for evidence of better health outcomes and impact relative to organization size and budget as a result of innovation, deference to local leaders, and collaboration among diverse partners.

Luminary Leader: Awarded to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a relentless commitment to the global health community. Judges selecting looked for evidence of leadership, health impact, driving collaboration and meaningful mentorship.

Rising Star: Awarded to an individual age 40 or under (as of October 12, 2022) who is making an exceptional impact in the field of global health. Judges selecting looked for evidence of creativity and initiative, influence, potential to contribute meaningfully to the field, and the ability to inspire collaboration.
